BLACK TICKET
Thank you for requesting a ticket to Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s memorial Saturday January 24, 2026 at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico. We have had over 3,200 people request tickets and are working to accommodate all who wish to attend.
You have been designated as a BLACK ticket holder and will be placed in priority seating inside the memorial at the commercial building on the fairgrounds. You are also invited to a private reception for family, close friends, and major supporters following the memorial also at the fairgrounds.
Preferred Arrival:
Arrive by 10:30AM at the Butte County Sheriffs Chico Services Center (402 Otterson Drive, Suite 120 Chico, CA 95928). Buses will drive family, dignitaries, and black ticket holders to the fairgrounds with police escorts. You will arrive by 11am at Harvest Hall- our Family/ VIP hold area. Light refreshment will be available. From there you will be seated at 11:45 for a Noon Start. The memorial will be 90-100minutes. There will be a hosted reception after on the fairgrounds. Buses will depart from the fairgrounds every 30 minutes to the Sheriff’s Office starting at the conclusion of the memorial.
If you choose to drive yourself to the fairgrounds:
Parking opens at 9:30. Please park in the main fairgrounds parking and proceed to Gate A.
Entry: Gates open at 10:00. You will need to show your ticket and have ID to enter.
Please be at the Harvest hall no later than 11:15 AM. No large bags, backpacks, signs, or weapons of any type will be allowed. Smaller purses are ok but are subject to search. Once inside – Please get your LaMalfa Memorial Pin at the credential table and proceed to the Harvest Hall immediately.
Each member of your party will need to present a paper or digital copy of their ticket to enter. If you used one email for every member of your party, please give each one a ticket. Every individual name will be checked at credentialing and no individual who did not already rsvp will be admitted even with a ticket.
Please note: doors will be locked promptly at 12pm for an on time start. At that time, your viewing option will be to join in the outdoor overflow.
